GGD proudly participated in the new construction of the King Open/Cambridge Street Upper Schools and Community Complex. The Community Complex consists of the Valente Branch Library, Gold Star Pool, Human Services space, including a preschool, an area to hold afterschool programs, and Administrative offices. GGD provided HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Security and Data/Communications systems engineering services for the 278,000 square foot facility.

Our design included high-performance systems of energy-efficient lighting, a geothermal heating and cooling plant, solar water heater, and rainwater reclamation.

The project was selected by the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) to participate in the 2019 Pro-Tour Series in August of 2019. We were fortunate to have attended this event as a speaker to the tour groups that explored the school building and complex.
