The project involves a phased construction of a new one-story addition with a basement, along with renovations to both the exterior and interior of the Concord Free Library and the adjacent Heywood-Benjamin House. This initiative includes the creation of a new accessible entrance, as well as the addition of the, Children's Library, Workshop, and office space, while also renovating specific areas of the existing library. Comprehensive new mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems were installed.
