The first new firehouse built in the City of Boston in over 25+ years; "a state-of-the-art facility" for our men and women firefighters.

GGD provided engineering design services for Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Security, and Technology systems.

The design includes high-efficiency HVAC systems and equipment such as a heat recovery variable refrigerant flow system, condensing boilers,   vehicle exhaust capture system, and automatic temperature controls, and building management system. Other efficient systems include lighting and controls,  diesel-fueled generator, uninterruptible power systems, variable frequency drives, two-way communications call boxes systems, water and gas sub-meters, recirculating hot water pumps, and low flow plumbing fixtures.
