The project involved the historic rehabilitation of the Cummings House and the removal of several outdated structures to the east - including the ell, exterior stairs, former library building, and barn - to create space for a new single-story addition that now serves as a modern community and senior center.

GGD provided comprehensive Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Security, and Technology systems design throughout the project.

The completed design features high-efficiency lighting  and automated lighting control systems, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, a variable refrigerant flow (VRF) heating and cooling system, energy recovery ventilation, electric terminal heating units, DDC  temperature controls, electrical water heating, water metering, and recirculating hot water systems. The result is a fully electric, energy-efficient facility that supports long-term sustainability and enhances community use.
