The new Essex Public Safety Building consists of two stories, approximately 23,000 square feet,  and will service the fire department and police department.  The building consists of a vehicle apparatus bay, holding cells, processing wing, new training and conference areas, locker rooms, etc.

GGD provided engineering services for Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Security, and Technology systems. 

Energy efficiency design includes variable refrigerant flow systems, energy recovery units, radiant heating, automatic temperature controls, lighting systems and controls, and daylight harvesting.
