Scarborough Public Safety Complex

GGD provided Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Data/Communications, and Security Systems engineering design for the new combined police and fire station complex. The steel-framed building includes a five-bay apparatus room with support spaces, firefighter quarters, police administration, communications center, public meeting, and training room.

Our design began at a schematic level and carried through to project closeout. 

​

Systems included in the project are high-efficiency condensing boilers, chemical treatment systems, ductless cooling units, electrical terminal heating equipment, air-cooled liquid chiller, radiant floor/snowmelt system, LED lighting fixtures, automated lighting controls, diesel-fueled generator set, daylight harvesting, combination automatic sprinkler/standpipe system, backflow control device, electric activation double interlock pre-action system, domestic water, compressed air, and fuel gas systems, integrated electronic security system, and audio/visual patch cabling system.
